Residents and visitors alike celebrate Independence Day each year with an annual boat parade. Decorated boats depart from Leibs Island and make their way along the North shore, through Cranberry Bay, past Harbor Hills and end at Papa Boo's. Prizes are awarded based on a different theme each year.
Help Thornville celebrate the 4th of July this year during its annual parade and festivities! The theme of the event is Betty White to honor the late star, so bring your pet to the parade to be part of the fun! The parade begins at 11 a.m. and the fun will continue at Jake Shaner Park where there will be food, games, face painting, music, and a pet show.Â
