Is kayaking more your thing? The Just Paddles Sunset Tour runs Thursdays & Fridays at 5pm, launching at Papa Boo’s, this tour takes you on a journey to some popular lakefront hotspots. 3XP Tours also offers the Just Peddles Brew Tour on Monday-Friday evenings, enjoy a relaxing bike ride with your crew along the scenic bike path and village of Buckeye Lake.

The Kids & Kayaks Tour is a perfect activity for all ages, ideal for families that want to spend some quality time together and experience the great outdoors in a new way + something sweet!

The 3,100-acre Buckeye Lake is designated as an unlimited horsepower lake, but pontoons, sailboats, canoes, and rowboats are also common. Nine launch ramps provide access to the lake and seasonal docks are available through a lottery system at Fairfield Beach. Contact the park office for more details. Local marinas offer fuel and other items for sale. Two boat/swim/camp areas are also available at Lieb’s Island and east of Cranberry Bog.

After years as a summer resident, Captain Buck has been proud to call Buckeye Lake his home since 2006. Ohio Fun Excursions provides pontoon rentals, kayak rentals, and water taxi services (dock-to-dock) for the Buckeye Lake area. Ohio Fun Excursions also offers guided and non-guided kayak tours as well as captained and non-captained pontoon rentals.

This retail shop offers fishing tackle such as fishing rods, fishing reels, tackle boxes, waders, and hundreds of choices of lures, hooks, sinkers, and bobbers! They have everything you need to get started, or stay stocked!

The two public swimming areas – Fairfield Beach on the south side of the lake and Crystal Beach on the north side of the lake – have parking and latrines. Beaches are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Swimming is permitted during daylight hours only.

Swim at your own risk.

Pets are NOT allowed on swimming beaches. BeachGuard — Water quality advisories, are available online from the Ohio Department of Health from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Looking for easy access to the water? Look no further than the Thorn Township Canoe/Kayak Launch. Open from dawn to dusk, this launch is conveniently located on the southeast side of the lake and is wheelchair accessible.

This launch is also the first public boat access to Buckeye Lake in Perry County.
