Buckeye Lake welcomes the second annual Cranberry Bog Challenge/Beach Sprints Camp and Rowing Regatta on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26.

This challenge will feature a coastal beach sprint race between Fairfield Beach at Buckeye Lake State Park on the south shore of Buckeye Lake and Buckeye Lake Winery. Rowers from Cincinnati, Hamilton, and the Columbus area will be competing for a chance to attend the International Rowing Competition to be held in Wales later this year.

Tracy Higginbotham, owner and proprietor of Buckeye Lake Winery, invites the public to attend to cheer on the athletes, meet the coaches, and view the racing from the shore at Fairfield Beach and Buckeye Lake Winery on Saturday and Sunday 11 am-2pm. There will also be a welcome event on Saturday and an awards presentation on Sunday. Guests can enjoy food from Buckeye Lake Winery and boat rides will be offered for those who want to follow the action and get expert commentary from the coaches and Buckeye Lake Rowing Board members and friends.
