The Ultimate Throwback Party at The Dirty Oar

Head out to The Dirty Oar on Friday, August 21st for a musical journey through the 70s, 80s, and 90s, one decade at a time! Decade Divide is not your boring corner-of-the-bar cover band. Every live performance is jam packed with decade appropriate costumes and props, a high level of energy, and good-natured banter that invites audience interaction. Prepare to have memories of yesteryear relived at the very same time new memories are being created!
Each set is a different decade:
- First, it’s the 1970s all over again. Classic cuts like “Take the Money and Run,” “Two Tickets To Paradise,” and “The Boys are Back in Town” are being performed by yours truly all whilst being clad in bell bottoms, big collared shirts, and sleek aviators, with, of course, long flowing hair. There may even be a nice burly mustache. You know, for the ladies.
- Next, you find yourself on a highway right into the Danger Zone, aka the 1980s. Vivid colors, ivory blazers, leather spandex, and big hair now rule the stage. Turn loose to songs like “I Love Rock N’ Roll,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” and Michael Jackson’s “Beat It!” A giant can of hairspray might even get passed around. This time, not just for the ladies.
- And finally, the carefree vibe of the 90s is now present. Tunes from Blink-182, the Backstreet Boys, and even Kid Rock are being sung by everyone. Flannel, ripped jeans, and tank tops have finally taken over. Could there be a slight smell of Teen Spirit in the air?
