Earth Day at The Pines at Buckeye Ridge
Earth Day at The Pines at Buckeye Ridge
April 22 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Plant the Future. Grow the Change. This Earth Day, The Pines at Buckeye Ridge is inviting families to explore, plant, and discover how even the smallest hands can make a big difference. Kids will journey through their property collecting stamps in their very own Pollinator Passport as they visit learning stations around The Pines:
- Bee Stop – Why they matter more than people think
- Butterfly Stop – Pollinators and the magic of milkweed
- Tree Stop – Roots, oxygen, and why trees are the quiet heroes
- Pond Stop – Protecting water and the life it supports
- Animal Pasture Stop – How animals play a role in healthy ecosystems
Next, it’s time to get their hands in the dirt! Each child will decorate and plant a compostable cup with seeds to take home, including milkweed, sunflower, pumpkin, and native wildflower seed mix. Every child leaves with something growing and they’ll invite them to come back this summer to show them how their plant grew. They may even host a little “Grow & Glow” contest with prizes for the tallest sunflower, brightest blooms, or most butterflies spotted. And of course…the final stop is always the heart of The Pines – their precious animals. Kids will learn why cows help heal soil, how goats clear land naturally, why horses build trust and connection, and composting with their pig (yes, really!). This event is free to attend, but please register to reserve your spot. Rain or shine, they’ll be ready. Bring boots if it’s muddy. Bring curiosity either way. Donations always support their rescued animals and therapy programs. Let’s grow something beautiful together.
