Interested in discovering more about boating? A free Boating for Beginners Seminar is being held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1 pm – 4 pm at the Harbor Hills Country Club in Hebron, Ohio. For ages 16+. Advance registration is required; class size is limited to 80.

The Boating for Beginners course will present boating safety and additional information to those curious about operating or buying a boat – which may be a sizeable investment.

It will cover a variety of topics related to boating including required licenses, safety equipment needed, accessories, docking procedures, navigation rules, boat maintenance, purchasing and choosing the right type of boat, and more.

The Boating for Beginners Seminar is hosted by Buckeye Lake Boater Training (BLBT) and includes guest speakers and/or other support from the ODNR/Ohio Division of Watercraft, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and Marine Performance Solutions. It is sponsored with the support of Buckeye Lake Marina, Lisa Stewart/Howard Hanna Realty, East and Northeast Coast Marinas, Buckeye Lake Margaritas and the Harbor Hills Country Club.
